We will just refer to this blog’s owner as the ‘writer’ to keep things simple.

Writer is actively involved in the open source software community, most notably with the R project for statistical computing. He has participated in the Google summer of code program multiple times, both as a student and mentor. Currently, he’s employed as a data engineer at SocialCops, a company committed to solving some of the world’s most critical problems in through data intelligence.

The writer believes that the major technological and scientific breakthroughs occur when there is a confluence of technology and humanity. This blog caters to that belief, and other musings regarding technology; in particular the fields of machine learning and data science.

The writer chooses to satisfy his creative itch through another blog, A Student’s Diary, as well.
